As part of the wells engagement and events committee, it is my duty to ensure that school spirit is always soaring and there are fun and engaging activities for students. During the holiday season of the year 2019 the engagement and events committee organized an activity called secret santa. Students were sent google forms in which they could choose to send gifts such as cotton candy or cookies to their friends or a teacher. Students could also choose to send the gift with a personalized message, which was written by me and my team. During this time I realized the benefits of working collaboratively with other members of the club since we were able to write more notes and distribute more gifts when everyone was helping out. This activity took a lot of hours of writing handwritten notes, individually packing the gifts in separate packages, and delivering the gifts to many people, but in the end the smile on people’s faces when they got their gifts was worth the time consuming and effortful work.
